About Houston East Park Baptist Church
The purpose of the Houston East Park Missionary Baptist Church is to maintain public service for the worship of God and for the teaching and of the Gospel and, in general, to promote the interest of the Kingdom of God according to the teachings of Christ as set forth in the New Testament.
What We Believe
- This Church believes in, receives and adopts the New Testament as its supreme code of laws.
- As a summary of the principles of Christian conduct among its members, this Church hereby adopts the Church Covenant commonly accepted by Baptist Churches.
Our Leadership
Pastor B.J. Mason was born in Honey Grove Texas. He started his ministries at Houston East Park thirty-seven (37) years ago and has come full circle! Pastor Mason is currently holding office in the Baptist Mission District General Association as First Vice Moderator, American Baptist Convention of Texas as Chairman of the Executive Board, Ministers Coalition of Harris County & Vicinity as Vice President, and a member of Houston Ministers Against Crime.
Pastor Mason is happily married to Sister Corine Mason, and they have four children, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Pastor Mason graduated from E.H. Henry High School in Eagle Lake, Texas, attended Paul Quinn University in Waco, Texas, Houston Community College, and College of Biblical Studies, both located in Houston, Texas. He also served in the Armed Forces and was honorably discharged.
